The "Verschneidung" is an absolute multi-pitch classic in Oberwallis. Countless climbing 'careers' have undoubtedly been seeded here, thanks to the moderate difficulty and easy approach.

- Difficulty
-
After a simple starting pitch there follows a technical (difficult) corner (or "Verschneidung") - good stemming ability is requried here. The long, third pitch runs over a steep slab with positive edges. The route - as usual in classic routes - is somewhat polished, but this should not detract from the joy of climbing.
- Rock Type / Quality
-
Due to a high number of visitors, the route is largely clear of loose rock. Remain cautious, however, as with any alpine terrain.
- Protection / Material
-
Very well bolted, requires no friends or nuts.
- Descent
-
The route is equipped with belay/abseil stations. But from the top you may walk directly back to the car park.
- History
-
The route has been re-equipped at various stages throughout its lifetime; there are bolts of all ages here, be aware!
