At the start of the 1990s, the first multi-pitch routes were developed on Wiwannihorn and Augstkummenhorn. Since then, the area has become one of the most visited alpine climbing areas in Switzerland. Thanks to their southern aspect, many of the multi-pitch routes have become popular classics. They are climbable from late May through to late October.
