Witenwasserenstock 3085 m Ski tour
Rock barrier atop the watersheds of the Po, Rhine and Rhone rivers. The main winter destination is the eastern summit (3025 m), the most southerly point in the canton of Uri and a meeting point with the cantons of Ticino and Valais. The highest point of the Witenwasserstocks is constructed of pointed granite blocks and needles; climbing grade III. Good rope techniques are required (in descent, abseils off good belays can be made).
