Wissberg Südost 2380 m Please select a discipline
Excellent water runnel climbing can be found on the SE side of the Wissberg. On the righthand side of the wall, the limestone slabs are ideally inclined for enjoyable 'plaisir' climbing, requiring only a minimum of force to succeed. Half a dozen routes of 3 to 5 pitches follow the striking water grooves through the 150 m high Plattenflucht. To the left of this, the wall rises steeply. Here too, ambitious sport climbers will find enough challenge. From Fürenalp you can reach the climbing area Wissberg Südost in about one and a half hours walking time. It has a nice 'climbing-garden' atmosphere, with one exception, the route Last Minute, which requires the placement of friends and nuts to feel safe. From early morning on, the bright limestone slabs are illuminated by the sun. They are suitable for climbing from early summer into late autumn, and provide a full-day excursion into an impressive and secluded mountain landscape.
