Normal approach to Wildstrubelhütte
Most frequently used route to the Wildstrubelhütte. From Lenk it's a long way. A bus service runs to Iffigenalp, otherwise you can drive up with your own car (warning - timed one-way traffic). Starting at Iffigenalp shortens the ascent by almost half.
Route description
Lenk - Iffigenalp
From Lenk train station, follow the road to the Lenkersee and continue to Ey (P. 1078). Cross the bridge and turn right to follow the well-marked hiking trail via Teufebode, Färiche and Langersite to the Iffigfal (waterfall). Oovercome the steep step to the right (W) of the waterfall, the follow the road, or footpath beside it, along to Iffigenalp. In the summer season, this section can be covered by bus or car, shortening the ascent by half.
Iffigenalp - Wildstrubelhütte
From Iffigenalp (1584 m) ascend the mountain path to the steep step above the Geissräbel where meet the Rawilsaumweg (path), which has been blasted out of the rock, pass the Blattihütte (and hube)l to reach Stiereläger P. 2278, then take the path signposted Rawilseeleni. From P. 2554 south of the lake, the mountain path takes a final short, steep valley up to the Wildstrubelhütte.
