Wildhorn 3250 m Alpinism
A shapely mountain with magnificent views across the Berner Oberland and Valais. This is the highest peak between Sanetsch- and Gemmi Pass. Strangely, the eastern top (and summit cross) is actually 2 m lower than the true western summit.
There are three different huts from which to approach the Wildhorn. From each there is a relatively straightforward route to the top. This allows for a variety of traverses to be made; combining one route of ascent with another for the descent.
Most commonly climbed from the Wildhornhütte.
