The normal approach is a short hike from Station Kreuzboden (Saasgrund- Hohsaas cableway).
Route description
Kreuzboden - Weissmieshütte
Kreuzboden (2398 m) can be reached by cable car (or on foot) from Saas-Grund.
On a comfortable path follow the ski area infrastructure to the foot of a small rock step (2596 m). Move left and climb this to gain the hut (2726 m) without any difficulty.
Variant: From Saas-Grund via Triftalp to Kreuzboden
On foot, a very beautiful mountain path leads up along the edge of Chirchuwald, then N via Triftalp (2074 m) to Kreuzboden; a good 2 hours.
