Passing by a well-known climbing mountain to Voralptal
At first we walk from Bergseehütte through a charming landscape full of granite debris and gaze up at the well-known, compact climbing mountain Bergseeschijen. The passage into the basin of the Voralpreuss calls on our climbing skills, as we need to scramble up a rocky step equipped with fixed ropes. Afterwards we traverse a wide face, which is occasionally stony, sometimes green, or even, depending on the season, snow-covered, to reach Voralphütte. A feast for the eyes are the high alpine Sustenhorn, the massive Fleckistock – the highest peak on Uri territory – and Salbitschijen, a summit highly sought after by ambitious sport climbers.
