It is a ski tour off the crowds of a busy skiing area. Nevertheless, there is a bench and a ski rack on the summit, which means that it is fairly often visited. The ascent is multifaceted, the last stretch on the east ridge.
Route description
Seewis – Vilan
From Seewis (947 m) ascend northward via P. 1072 to Fallider and Wurzaneina (1587 m). Continue on the new alp access road eastward to the signpost, then ascend steeply north-westward via Ruod to the chalets of Sadreinegg (1893 m). Now follow the east ridge until the small bowl to the south-east of the summit. Finish the ascent on the steep south-east ridge.
Descent
Often the E ridge from Sadreinegg is swept snow-free by the wind. If the conditions are safe, it is recommended to ski the steep east-facing slopes (30–35° on 150 metres of vertical height) down to the wide bowl below Ochsenberg. From there continue to the chalets of Sadreinegg and down on the ascent route.
