Berggasthaus Trift - Hüenerchnubel
From Berggasthaus Trift (2337 m) follow a footpath up to the Hüenerchnubel (Chickenhead) at 2808 m, 1 1/2 Std
Hüenerchnubel - Unter Gabelhorn
Follow the humpback from the Chickenhead round to P. 3207, descend slightly, then climb up again in easy but slightly loose terrain to P. 3298, 1 1/2 hrs.
From here, descend through a chimney and then along the following ridge, until you drop down into a gap in front of a cuboid tower (known as the Table). Climb up an arête onto the table (2c), then follow the ridge, passing some gendarmes on the left, until another gap (known as the Fork) at the foot of the last steep bit of ridge, 1/2 hour.
From 'The Fork', climb over multiple rock steps to the last one beneath the summit. Cross the S-wall beneath this and then climb up in good rock to reach the summit of the Unter Gabelhorn (3391 m), 1 hour (WS / 2c).
Descent
