Üschenen 2020 m Alpine climbing
Üschenen is a large and much visited climbing area with a wonderful view of the glaciated north face of the Balmhorn. A spectacular via ferrata has been set up in the cliff below the Allmenalp.
Anyone who climbs the old routes at Üschenen can still learn a lot and bring their self-preservation skills to a higher level. Interspersed with many ledges, the grey limestone wall here offers many beautiful climbs, especially in the medium grade range. The routes in the left part of the Alpschelewand are rarely climbed today.
