If there is enough snow down to the valley floor, Tanzboden offers rewarding and easy ski tours. The restaurant directly below the highest point is an additional attraction so that the ski and snowshoe tour is often made, even in bad weather. Besides the main routes described here, the wide and gentle terrain offers many other possibilities.
Route description

Variant from Ebnat-Kappel
From the Ebnat-Kappel railway station (630 m) follow the tracks southward to cross the bridge over the Thur and reach Mettlen. Now ascend southward in pastures to the bottom station of the ski lift at Dicken (ca. 880 m). If the lift is not in operation, follow the ski runs until the top of the lift (ca. 1180 m).
