Stockhorn (BE) 2190 m Mountain hiking
The Stockhorn is considered the local mountain of Thun and can be seen from far away in the Mittelland. The summit is accessed by cable car from Erlenbach to almost the highest point, where there is mountain restaurant. Already at the beginning of the last century, the impressive north face was climbed. It is still a special experience to climb through this shady wall. For beginners, the exercise route Chum and Lueg is set up on Stockhorn-Westgrat. On the south side there are different, very well bolted climbing routes, described in the Stockhorn climbing area.
