This is an easy, short and low avalanche risk tour for beginners, which can be undertaken with little snow. Splendid view to the Studen plain and Sihlsee.
Route description
Waag - Stock
From the Unteriberg, Waag (923 m) bus stop go to the crossroads at P. 935. Ascend eastward in pastures past Unterdüssel (1099 m) and via Blackenboden to reach Mittelwald at P. 1330. Horizontally follow the trail northward to reach the mountain road. Follow the road a short while and ascend eastward in pastures to the trail, which leads up to Oberstock alp. From the alp ascend the summit slope, making an arc to the northwest to reach the highest point.
Descent
On the ascent; if there is sufficient snow, from Tierfäderenegg you can ski down directly to P. 1330 in order to avoid the flat passage on the Mittelwaldweg.
