Starting at Pajols, it is a rewarding ski tour with a beautiful descent. The view of the Rhine valley with its busy traffic corridors allows you to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few hours. The view can go as far as Lake Constance!
Route description
Untervaz - Stelli
From Untervaz (590 m) follow the alp access road northward for a short while. Then turn left passing the last buildings of the village to follow the hiking path via Castrinis (800 m) to Pajols (912 m). (If there is not enough snow, follow the alp access road to Pajols via P. 774. Or you can branch off the road at P. 675 and follow the hiking trail to Pajols via Castrinis.)
From Pajols ascend westward via Jeli and on the wide slopes of Oberberge to reach the chalets of Salaz (1772 m). Now follow the Salaz ridge southward to reach the summit, on the last stretch pass the avalanche barriers on the west. The summit cross is visible from the valley, but it is located 250 metres east of the summit and ca. 40 m metres lower than the highest point.
