The normal approach to the Silvretta hut straight through the valley from Klosters. There are three different lengths to choose from: keen hikers can start at Klosters Platz, while the normal starting point is an hour further down in the valley near Monbiel. The shortest, family friendly approach starts at Alp Sardasca, which can be reached by alpine taxi - or by bike.
Route description
Monbiel - Alp Sardasca
From Monbiel follow the northern bank of the stream via Schwendi and Alp Garfiun to Alp Sardasca (1650 m).

Alp Sardasca -Medjitäli - Silvrettahütte
From Alp Sardasca (1650 m) follow the old mule track in an east, then south-easterly direction, first crossing two streams, then ascending steeply into the Medjitäli and up to the hut.
Variant: Approach from Klosters Platz
You can also start directly from the train station in town and reach Monbiel on foot.
Variant: Alp Sardasca - Galtürtälli - Silvrettahütte
From roughly 500 m after Alp Sardasca it is also possible to ascend northwards and join an old moraine ridge which leads up into Galtürtälli. At the top turn right for the hut.
