Steep and sunny approach.
The normal approach to the Sewenhütte leads in its second half along a sunny ridge. Sweat flows freely during an afternoon ascent! Between the numerous switchbacks you'll be looking longingly up towards the hut, which never appears to be any closer. But once you've finally made it, you can savour the view from the comfortable terrace with a cold drink in hand.

From the road bridge P. 1613, the hut path leads eastwards to the Gitzichrummenflue, then rises through countless switchbacks to the hut.
