The flat access in Dischmatal is compensated by the awesome high alpine landscape one encounters. The tour can be undertaken until late into spring. At the end of the season the road is open until Dürrboden so that the access is shortened by about 1½ hours.
Route description
Teufi - Dürrboden
From Teufi (1700 m) follow the road to Dürrboden (2007 m).
Dürrboden - Scalettapass – Scalettahorn
From Dürrboden on the summer trail ascend south-eastward to Seeböden. Now ascend on the steeper slopes above Seeböden to reach P. 2493 and southward to Scalettapass / Cuolm S-chaletta (2605 m). From the col turn eastward to set foot on the glacier. Ascend the glacier to pass the offshoot of the Scalettahorn south ridge east of P. 3023. The last stretch is on the south-east slope to reach the summit.
