A very short ascent from the Bellwald ski area. The summit structure is steep and is most often climbed on foot. The reward is an impressive view of the Fiescher glacier with the large Valais peaks above. If snow conditions are safe, there are some great descent options via the long western slopes.
Route description
Top of the Furggulti chairlift – South Ridge (ski depot)
From the top station of the Furggulti chairlift (2561 m) head north to Furggulti (2598 m) then further along the ridge above or just west of it to gain the broad south ridge a little above P. 2736. You can also reach the summit via the saddle to the north, which shortens the final ascent on foot.
South Ridge (Ski depot) – Summit
From the ski depot, follow the blocky south ridge on foot to the summit.

- Remarks
-
The final blocky ridge leading to the summit is tedious under soft snow.
Long descent to Egga (over 1400 m); in less than ideal conditions it is better to finsh back at the ski area.
