Rinderhorn 3449 m Alpinism
This mountain slopes down south to Dalatal in a mighty, but brittle rock face. The northwest side has a meagre covering of firn. On the north face proper there remain two quite impressive hanging glaciers. Today the Rinderhorn is climbed almost exclusively via the normal route via the Rindersattel and the north ridge. Most of the other routes have proved rather dangerous in the past and today present more an historical interest, as apposed to valid route options.
