This is a ravishing ski tour for beginners in Eigental, the recreational area close to the city of Lucerne. Snowshoe hikers love it too. The tour is recommended in high winter after a snowfall.
Route description
Eigenthal – Rägeflüeli
From the Eigenthal, Talboden (970 m) bus stop follow the road or the cross-country ski run for ca. 1,5 km to Buchsteg (1006 m). Ascend south-westward past the chalets of Unterhonegg (1079 m) and P. 1186 to the Gumm (1404 m) bowl. Continue to the saddle (1523 m) between Studberg and Rägeflüeli. Ascend gently north-eastward on the ridge to reach the summit.
Variant: detour to Studberg
From the saddle at P. 1523 ascend southward following the ridge to reach the Studberg summit.
