It is an easy, gentle and very popular tour in the Val d’Illiez, which can be undertaken right after the first snowfall. As it is close to large cities the summit is an attractive destination. Not far away from the itinerary there are cableways and ski lifts, but it is a ski tour away from the tourist crowds. Starting close to the Morgins ski Station, it is easy and not steep on sunny slopes. Only the last part is a little bit steeper.
Route description

At ca. 1370 m take the road to the right and cross the creek on a bridge. Now on the right bank of the deep ditch of this creek ascend directly via Es Cadraux and the Forêt des Ecottis to the terrace of Culet. Turn sharply east to reach La Chaux, from where you ascend more or less straight on to the summit which has a cross.
