Pizzo di Cadrèigh is a classic ski tour, especially in early winter. It is often undertaken by beginners or ski touring classes, as it is practically free of difficulties. From Capanna Bovarina one ascends the wide Val di Campo valley, which has a consistently gentle inclination. At its end is Passo di Gana Negra. From there a steeper last stretch goes up to the secondary summit (2516 m), which in winter is preferred to the main summit (2511 m).
Route description
Campo Blenio - Capanna Bovarina
From Campo Blenio (1215 m) ascend to Pianchera and the water intake at 1304 m. Ascend in a sparse larch forest westward to Ronco di Gualdo (1573 m). Traverse the plain to cross a pedestrian bridge. Ascend on the left bank of the Ri di Stabbio Nuovo through the forest to reach Pradorin. Continue westward leaving the forest in a wide gully. Ascend in a pasture and on a knoll, where the material ropeway begins, to reach the cabin.
