Pizzo Campo Tencia 3072 m Mountain hiking
Pizzo Campo Tencia is an extraordinary pyramid made from rock and ice, whose summit offers a seemingly unlimited panorama. It is the highest summit in the canton of Ticino.
The first ascent was on the 4th of August, 1867 by G. Studer, W. Lindt and F. Aebi with the guides P. Sulzer and Caegn. A report (40 pages!) about the extraordinary ascension is published in the Detail search for SAC yearbooks 1866-1869.
