Pigne de la Lé 3395 m Alpinism
It is not known who the first visitors to the Pigne de la Lé were. On the other hand, it is known that the summit has been frequented by local hunters from ancient times, with their lead shot muzzle-loaders. Incidentally, the summit lies directly N of the Bouquetins and is framed by these and the Col du Pigne. The proximity of Cabane de Moiry makes it an easily accessible peak. The view from the summit is one of the most beautiful in the whole of central Valais.
The name is derived from the patois: pigne = peak, hill; lé = lake
