The popular Pfriendler does not really stand out from the ridge north of the road. The top of the climbing is not the actual summit, and it is quite difficult to access the real one from there. Despite this, the wonderfully structured Erstfelder gneiss has been climbed on for years, and several enjoyable and varied routes lead through the rock. The only negative is the dense cluster of bolted lines, which makes it difficult to find the desired route.
