Nordend 4608 m Ski tour

Towering over 2,500 meters above the Belvedere Glacier, above Macugnaga in the Valle Anzasca, the view of Nordend's E face is breathtaking, even horrifying. In contrast, the NW slope is plastered by gentle flowing glaciers; favourable terrain for a ski ascent. Again though, the summit ridge from the Silbersattel can be a tricky and dangerous affair, especially with cornices and blank ice.
