Nameless Tower (Bockmattli) 1767 m Alpine climbing
Climbing the nameless tower: as imposing as it looks from the Bockmattli hut. The nameless tower flows seamlessly into the Bockmattli meadow below, which in no way diminishes the attraction of the two routes that lead up it. On the contrary: thanks to an easy descent and fast drying rock, the "Namenlose Kante" is a very popular route. The neighbouring Höhlenweg (cave route) is one of the most spectacular things the Bockmattli area has to offer. Access to the start of the route in the Great Cave is not very exciting, but thanks to good protection and fixed rope it is not a problem. Then come some very exposed and varied sections of climbing, up to the 80 m long, corner crack, which is flowed to the summit ridge with some athletic climbing.
