Monte Generoso 1700 m Mountain hiking
Small, but impressive mountain on the border between Italy and Switzerland, with contrasting appearances: the north and west sides are characterised by wild flanks with sloping walls and dominate the Lago di Lugano; the south and east flanks on the other hand hold gentle slopes with large pastures that delight the eye, along with easy hiking trails. From Capolago there is a cable car to the summit (operating from early January to early April), from Mendrisio there is also a road to Bellavista (1202 m).
