Now Pontresina has its second Via Ferrata, not a high-alpine route with a magnificent glacier backdrop, but a modern sport via ferrata. And if a cool glacier wind occasionally causes light goosebumps high up in the Bernina group, this daring course at "Resgia" will have a comparable effect on some. Several sections are quite exposed, such as the rope bridge, after which you must immediately climb a steep arete (crux, can be bypassed), then later there's the giant spider's web, which the creators have stretched out in the upper part of the route before an overhang. One or the other will probably emerge from this ferrata with slightly shaky legs, but at the top, when you look back down, and later when you look up from the Bernina road, you will feel proud. In the summer of 2016 it got an extension, which heads for the mountain station of the Languard chairlift over a rugged rock cliff: short but fierce (at K5) and another worthwhile tick.

Difficulty: K3-4, crux: K4 +, bypassing this K3.
Unique, partly exposed, sport-ferrata in the compact rocks above La Resgia, left of the Languard waterfall. The route is secured with 382 metal steps and 620 meters of cable; a rope bridge and a spider's web are additional highlights of the route. For game protection reasons, the via ferrata remains closed from the beginning of November until the end of June. The Via Ferrata La Resgia is easy to combine with the Languard (K5) via ferrata; a short, but very demanding climb. Overhangs in alternation with easier passages, with grass between the rocks, a wooden balance beam, and rope bridge. Only for fit climbers!
