Krönten is the main attraction in this high alpine area, bordered on the north by the Erstfeldertal and in the south by the Gornerental. With its characteristic shape (two summit towers separated by a 10 m deep gap), the Krönten (crown) dominates its neighboring peaks. Apart from the summit tower, climbing on the normal route is easy and is often done in the winter.
