If you get off the train in Moutier, you can not miss it: this exposed ridge is THE big classic of the area and is often visited on fine days - so its compact rock is also very greasy. The airy ambiance is further enhanced by the birds-eye view of the road and railway beneath your feet. Its establishment in 1945 put the town of Moutier on the climber's map. To this day, dozens of climbers regularly besiege the rocks of the Gorges de Moutier and sometimes even cause traffic problems! A small via ferrata just above the waters of the Birs was created to stop climbers using the railway.
