Route description
Chants - Keschhütte
From Chants climb eastwards. The path divides at the bridge over the Ava da Lalect (1833 m) (see variant). The slightly shorter one remains on the northern side of the valley and climbs directly along next to the stream and up to the hut.
Variant 1: Bergün - Chants
From Bergün (1380 m) hike partly along the mountain road and partly along a parallel hiking trail through the Val Tuors to Chants (1823 m; guesthouse).
Variant 2: via Schegvel
You can also cross the Ava da Salect via the bridge at P. 1833 m. This wide, well-maintained path, which also serves to supply the hut, swings out to the south to climb the west facing flank of Schegwel. About 20 minutes below the hut at P. 2518, the path meets the direct hut appraoch.
