This is a multifaceted ski tour from Zweisimmen. The centre stretch is in a ravishing, but rather flat moorscape. The Sparenmoos bus shortens the tour to 1½ hours: ideal for beginners and children.
Route description
Zweisimmen Sparenmoos – Hundsrügg
From the Zweisimmen railway station follow several roads westward and then northward to reach Obegg (979 m). Now ascend north-westward to below Eggi (ca. 1260 m). Continue south-westward to Heimchueweid and westward via P. 1439 to Site (1578 m). On the slightly ascending plateau go south-westward to Tolmoos and the road coming from Berghaus Sparenmoos (1632 m). Only slightly ascending on the Nüjeberg plain, you reach Schiltenegg (1782 m), where, finally, the terrain steepens. Following the south-east ridge, ascend to the Hundsrügg summit.
