The views from the routes on Hintisberg are superb; behold the striking pyramid of the Eiger North Face along with its neighbours the Mönch and Jungfrau. This visage gives the impression that you are climbing in the high mountains, despite the fact you're on a sunny, south facing, solid limestone crag, surrounded by greenery. Towards the less steep right hand side of Hintisberg, you will find 3 very amenable 'plaisir' routes all next to each other. The crux pitches are up high and steep, but very secured with bolts. For a nice cold beer after a successful day of climbing, try the unique and isolated "Beizli am Oberbärgli" restaurant, which is visible from the crag.
