Route description
Muttseehütte - Ruchi
From the Muttseehütte (2499 m), follow the Muttsee{reservoir}'s western bank before turning east along the scree and rock barrier separating it from the much smaller Obersee (passing P. 2646). Continue up towards the Hintersulzlücke before bearing right (southeast) diagonally up the flank, away from the Hintersulzhorn. Pass the rock buttress (on your left), before making straight up for a small saddle southeast of P. 2923. Now follow the Northwest Ridge, bearing slightly out onto the north flank towards the top and gain the summit (3105 m).
Ruchi - Drahtseilfurggeli - Hausstock
From the summit of Ruchi, descend the north flank, bearing right to gain the northeast ridge. Follow this to the "Drahtseilfurggeli" or "fixed chain pass" (P. 3000). Continue onto the north flank on the Chli Ruchi, then along the broad scree-covered ridge to the Hausstock, whose summit is easily reached via the northwest flank, later the northwest ridge. The"fixed chain pass" is - strangely - equipped with fixed chains. Follow the fixed chains ;-)
Descent
Descend the ascent route, or head down the east ridge to Panixerpass and Wichlen / Elm (3-4 hours, 1860 Hm).
