This is a pretty, easy ski tour offering a long descent, if there is sufficient snow in the forest below Lidernenhütte. The tour can also be started at Gitschen, the summit station of the Chäppeliberg-Spilau aerial cableway.
Route description
Lidernenhütte - Hagelstock
From Lidernenhütte (1727 m) ascend south-south-westward to Spilauer See via Abedweid. This point can also be reached from Gitschen (1717 m), the summit station of the Chäppeliberg-Spilau aerial cableway, via Spilauhütten. From the southern end of the lake ascend to the col (2139 m) between Siwfass and Hagelstock, passing Alt Stafel (1973 m) on the west. Follow the ridge south-westward to the summit.
Descent
On the ascent until Lidernenhütte; continue through the steep forest to Käppeliberg via Broholz. This descent is recommended only if there is sufficient snow.
