Gulme / Gulmen (Amden) 1788 m Snowshoe tour
With an easily accessible summit, Gulmen is popular among ski tourists and snow shoe hikers. While the ski tourists usually climb to the summit and then ski down to Arvenbüel, snow shoe hikers are often tempted to stroll around in the area. By doing so, they disturb the fauna in a highly sensitive nature reserve. Therefore, do not stray off the marked routes. Gulmen can be climbed from various sides and features pretty, sometimes steep descents. Going to the summit makes for an ideal ski tour accessible by public transport: travel to Amden by train and bus, traverse Gulmen and Häderenberg and then ski down to the Toggenburg valley. Travel back by bus and train.
