Route description
Approach from La Vacheresse / Pont de Mauvoisin
There are two approaches from the bus stop at “Pont de Mauvoisin”. 1) Follow brown sign posts, descend towards the Dranse de Bagnes (approx. 1670 m). Through a side gorge and up three wooden stairs, then into the actual Gorges de Mauvoisin at the beginning of the Saxifrage via ferrata (approx. 1700 m). 2) There is also a more direct, secured path: turn left after the WC.
Descent from Hotel Mauvoisin
If travelling by car, you can also park at Hotel Mauvoisin. You can reach "La Vacheresse" via an easy, downhill hiking trail.
After topping out from the second part of the ferrata you'll be right back at the car.
