Gemmipass 2269 m Mountain hiking
Topographically, the official location and elevation of 2322 m on the map is not entirely correct: The lowest point of this transition is located about 200 m southwest of P. 2270. The Gemmi was a well-known trade route from Kandersteg to Leukerbad; the classic two-wheeled Gemmiwagen's were once a common sight on the north side. The pass is reachable today from Leukerbad via cable car. There is a hotel near the pass, as well as a Hotel/Restaurant at the cable car station.
