Esel (Pilatus) 2118 m Mountain hiking
With an altitude of 2118 m, Esel is – after Tomlishorn – the second highest point of the entire Pilatus range. The summit, walled-in and crowned by an iron triangulation cross, is a classic viewpoint. The view down to Lake Lucerne and the city of Lucerne is spectacular, as is the view southward to the Alps.
On the Esel summit tourists from all over the world and mountaineers who climbed up on trails or climbing routes meet.
