Route description
Les Giettes - summit
From P. 1139 at the hairpin bend on the Route des Giettes, take a forest road SE to reach the broad NE ridge at Chalet de l'Abbaye. Follow the ridge to Les Jeurs (1548 m). From there, turn right (W) on the road that leads to Chindonne (1602 m). Continue past the hut and up to the forest's edge, just below the top of the ski lift. Follow the line of footpath S through the forest. Once the slope opens up, traverse right (SW) beneath the small lake (La Gouille, 1958) and on to reach P. 2046 (giant cairn). From here, follow the ridge E, then NE to the summit.
Descent
Descend the same way, or start NW towards the small alp hut at Valerette (1703 m), before crossing back E to reach the Chindonne chalet-restaurant.
