The starting point is La Forclaz. The route goes on gentle slopes, especially in the middle part. You traverse the pretty Mayens de Bréonna with its old wooden houses, then the alp with the same name. Finally it goes on the S face between Serra Neire and Couronne de Bréonna and into the col.
Route description
La Forclaz - Bréonna - Col de Bréonna
From La Forclaz (1730 m) follow the road south-eastward. From P. 1747 the ascent actually begins on the left-hand side by following the road. Then ascend directly through the clearing which leads up to Mayens de Bréonna (2090 m) and Bréonna. Continue north-north-eastward across a wide terrace to reach the water intake. Turning right, ascend to Remointse de Bréonna (2435 m). Now ascend north-east and then northward to Col de Bréonna on an increasingly steep slope.
Descent
On the ascent.
