Route description

Murtèl (Corvatsch cableway, middle station) - Fuorcla Surlej - Chamanna Coaz CAS

From the middle station of the Corvatsch cableway you can reach Fuorcla Surlej (2753 m) via an almost horizontal path. (The Fuorcla can also be reached from St. Moritz or Silvaplana on well-marked hiking trails). From the Fuorcla Surlej the path leads slightly down, southwards over alpine meadows to the Murtèl valley (2519 m), then continues along terraces from Murtèl to the sunny plateau of Plaun dals Süts (2679 m). From there continue S across the east facing flanks, then SE to Plattas and the hut, perched over the cliffs.
