A short trip
The access from All'Acqua to Capanna Piansecco is on a good, marked mountain hiking trail on open terrain and sometimes through the forest. A mere 370 metres of vertical height or 1 hour hiking separate the cabin from the starting point. However, especially in the fall the access might take slightly longer, as the golden shine of the larches call for a photo break or the many blueberries need collecting.
Route description
All'Acqua - Capanna Piansecco
From the All'Acqua bus stop ascend between the chapel and the guesthouse. At a prominent high voltage electricity pylon the trail branches off right into the forest, where it gains height in several serpentines. But the forest is not as dense as one might think looking at the map and offers a view from time to time. The cabin lies at the edge of a sparsely forested knoll at 1982 m.

Kleiner Weiler mit mehreren Bauten, darunter ein beliebtes Gasthaus mit Terrasse ( www.allacqua-valbedretto.ch ) – sowie eine Kapelle mit einer Tafel, die an ein tragisches Unglück erinnert: in der Nacht vom 15. auf den 16. Februar 1962 kamen beim Bau eines Stollens zwischen All'Acqua und Robiei 14 Personen ums Leben.
