Campanitt / Pizzo Columbe 2545 m Mountain hiking
A group of white dolomite needles eroded over countless years. The rock testifies to the high age of this area between Passo delle Colombe and Passo del Sole. The mountaineer has a wide choice of routes for climbing the mountain and the individual towers, which generally run along the wide flanks furrowed by cuoloirs with barely indicated ridges. The double name comes from the bizarre columns of dazzling white rock: in the Valle di Blenio they are called Campanitt (bell tower), in the Leventina they are called "Columbe" (doves).
First ascent by the famous W.A.B. Coolidge with F. Gardiner, Rudolf dand Christian Almer junior 3. August 1892.
