Route description
Ovronnaz - Saille - Cabane Rambert
From Ovronnaz, follow the road for Odonne. Shortly after the hairpin at 1487 m make a sharp right and head NW to P. 1515. Turn left and follow the path (still NW) up to the huts of Saille (1786 m). Continue up beside the Salentse stream, cross to the left (W) and climb up steeply beside the Pessot waterfall, then follow the rubble strewn valley up to Plan Salentse (2348 m). From there, the path cuts back E above cliffs to reach a pass (P 2507) and grassy rib leading up to teh hut.
Variant: by cablecar
The route from the top of the cableway traverses more or less horizontally, but with some technical sections (T3), to join the main path at the Pessot waterfall.
