Route description
Dixence, Le Chargeur - Lac des Dix - Cabane des Dix
From Le Chargeur (2137 m), ascend to the dam, then follow the western shore all the way to the end of the reservoir (P. 2384). From here either stay low and follow the southern shore to P. 2370 then climb up south, or climb diagonally E to the Pas du Chat (2479 m) (slightly faster). Move onto the E-facing flank, cross the stream and join the west side moraine of the Glacier de Cheilon. Follow this to ca. 2790 m then move right (W) off it and climb up behind the Tête Noire (2980 m). Cross an indistinct pass and drop down slightly before bearing eastwards to the hut.
