The ascent to the Brunnihütte high above the central Swiss tourist resort of Engelberg is a tranquil and easy hike. Alternatively, you can take the cable car to Ristis and approach from there, or even then take the chairlift all the way to the Brunnihütte.

Without using the cable car and chair lift, the approach time is approx. 2½ hours (860 m ascent from Engelberg). From Ristis (cablecar station) the ascent is shortened by more than half (approx. 1 hour, 370 m ascent).
