This is an itinerary in high altitude and entirely on a glacier (upper Turtmanngletscher). Therefore, appropriate safety measures need to be taken.
Route description
Cabane de Tracuit - Bishorn
From the cabin go south-eastward to reach Turtmanngletscher. On its left-hand side ascend in a wide arc to gain the NE arm of the glacier, running down from Bishorn. On this glacier ascend the steadily steep slope until the saddle (ca. 4115 m) between the two summits. Beware of the crevasses. From here, usually on foot, follow the short NE slope to the summit.
